2020 Restaurateur of the Year Award Recipient
Fan Ly has owned the Original Park Pantry restaurant in Long Beach since 2004 and has weathered many obstacles in making his restaurant successful.
From the Great Recession in 2009 to additional regulations and increased payroll costs, to changing traffic patterns along the Broadway corridor which forced closure of many restaurants along the Avenue, he survived.
Then the 2020 Pandemic hit and his herculean efforts have kept the restaurant open by introducing a practical patio design and adding cocktails to the mix.
Fan Ly is very deserving of our Restaurateur of the Year Award for 2020.
2020 Member of the Year Award Recipient
R.L. Dino Ciccione received his training from the La Scala School of Cooking in Florence, Italy, as well as the Art of the Garde Manager in Solingen, Germany.
He has been a Restaurant Consultant for a number of years, acting as Corporate Executive Chef for Olive Garden and International House of Pancake.
In addition to services rendered via consulting, he was responsible each Christmas for the collection and distribution of Toys for Needy Families via assistance of the Marine Corps.
This year due to the pandemic, the Marine Corps was not available and Dino almost single-handedly distributed over 13,000 toys of which o er 6,000 went to low income families supported by the Knights of Columbus and the Diocese of Los Angeles, CA.
Dino is very deserving of our Member of the Year 2020 Award.
